Offset your GHG emissions
brCarbon’s carbon projects are reducing deforestation in the Amazon, while benefiting traditional communities and conserving biodiversity. We also have projects for the restoration of degraded areas in this biome and in the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado, which among other benefits help in the recovery and protection of water springs.
The company uses internationally recognized methodologies and cutting-edge technologies to monitor carbon stocks in different carbon reservoirs, forest cover change, leakage and associated GHG emissions, as well as all the social and biodiversity impacts of its projects, generating high-integrity carbon credits.
Protect the Amazon Rainforest
Currently, vintage 2022 credits from the Brazilian Amazon REDD+ APD Project are available, the most recent year verified by Verra. The Brazilian Amazon Project has been rated by several classification agencies, including MSCI Carbon Markets, which awarded the project an “A” rating. This signifies: “Overall, the project appears to have very high integrity. This score reflects our assessment that the project demonstrates high additionality, quantification integrity, and permanence. No significant risks were identified in any criteria.”
Additionally, MSCI recognizes the Brazilian Amazon Project as one of the few REDD+ projects worldwide with a high probability of meeting the Core Carbon Principles (CCPs). Developed by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM), the CCPs set new standards for integrity and transparency, increasing confidence in the market and attracting greater investment.
