Corporate governance
Corporate governance is a system of practices, standards, and processes that govern the management and control of companies and other organizations. This system involves the relationships between shareholders, the board of directors, executive management, supervisory and control bodies, and other stakeholders.
Corporate governance aims to generate sustainable value for the organization, its partners and society in general. To this end, it is based on four fundamental principles:
- Equity;
- Transparency;
- Accountability;
- Corporate responsibility.
